HISTORY
The manor of Cleronde is a 17th century classified historical monument. Built in 1639 by Sieur de Fremont, a local judge. Then purchased in 1893 by Le Baron Gerard as a hunting guesthouse. (Le Baron Maurice Gerard is the nephew of the famous painter François Gerard). The manor has remained in the family since. Luxury renovated with a barn and a stud farm of horses, overlooking a flower parkas well as a pond and lake within the private property made up of 800 acres including a forest of 40 hectares and 200 English racing horses. The manor was a french refugees house during the WWII.

The manor has 3 suites (2 bedrooms per suite and 1 bathroom each), 1 salon, 1 dining room, 1 TV lounge and 2 kitchens for a total of 13 guests (18 with the barn)

The barn has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 1 large living room (dining table + chimney salon lounge) and 1 kitchenette for a total of 5 guests that is fully equipped and separated from the manor. Can be added to the manor for larger group.

Around: the D-Day landing beach of Omaha, Bayeux and the US Cemetery are just 6 miles away.
Other richly historical towns and cities such as Bayeux, Caen, St Lo, Mont St Michel, Deauville and Honfleur are easy for a day trip from the manor.

A generous breakfast is served daily in the manor dining room. Dinner can be also provided upon request for groups (min 6 pax). A chef can also be provided upon request. Full catering solution can be arranged

Free Wifi is provided in the entire manor and barn. Satellite channels are also available in the TV room and rooms

The manor is surrounded by 900 acres private property with flowers gardens, 2 lakes, horses' paddocks and a 120 acres forest, All private
Housekeeping
Daily housekeeping is provided. Laundry and ironing services can also be arranged upon request

Leisure Activities
First, a walk tour in the property is a must. Enjoy with our private forest walk, horses paddocks ... A guide tour can be arranged. Then Omaha beach will be the place to see with all sea activities available. Bicycles available on site. Fishing allowed in the upper lake.
Cultural & Historical Sites
The D-Day landing sites are the mains sites to visit around the manor (Omaha beach, Pointe du Hoc, Sainte Mère Eglise...). The Bayeux cathedral, and William the Conqueror history and tapestry. Horse Riding
Horse riding are available near by in Trèvières (5 minutes away) Omaha beach horse riding are also available. Our horses are English racing horses and not suitable for a ride.
